• Panels:
  • Front: Cover, inside flap, back cover
  • Back: Interior panels (often a spread)

Important: Not all panels are the same width due to fold allowance. For an 8.5×11″ layout:

• Panel 1: 3.6875 in
• Panel 2: 3.625 in (fold-in panel)
• Panel 3: 3.6875 in

This prevents buckling when folded.

📄 Step 2: Create the Document in InDesign

1. Go to File > New > Document
2. Set:
   • Width: 11 in
   • Height: 8.5 in
   • Orientation: Landscape
